I wished to buy my wife something very significant for our anniversary. This would be our first anniversary and I simply really wished to articulate my love and my devotion with an awesome gift. I was investigating a ton of white gold jewelry. This is for the reason that my wife enjoys silver more than gold, however I need to give her something of the greatest value. I come across a sterling silver cross necklace, but this isn't quite what I am looking for. I want something of value, but not quite as expensive as the platinum cross necklace I discovered!

I continue searching. As I am looking I think about my beautiful wife. I think about how strong her faith is and how much I admire her for that. I want to buy her something which shows my admiration, my adoration, and my appreciation. I find a few extremely pretty white gold cross earrings, however she currently has tons of earrings. Thus I continue searching.

I eventually discover what I'm searching for--a white gold cross necklace. It is plain, simple, and absolutely beautiful--just like my wife. I am positive she'll adore it. I instinctively buy it the minute I find it.

Unfortunately, the way that I am, I am completely confident when I buy the present, however the time between then and giving it to her I convince myself it was terrible, I fret and worry. What if a white gold cross necklace isn't the right gift to get my partner? She deserves the finest, is it the best I can do?

So, after making myself ill for a fortnight distressing over my wife's response to her new white gold cross necklace, I present it to her.

I hold my breath.

She begins crying! Oh my goodness, what have I done? I nearly start weeping as well, I attempt to ease her and next she gazes at me, and she says,

Okay, good, I can start breathing again, she doesn't despise me... wait, she really likes it...wow, I picked something really great for my wife? Well, that's what she says.

I now know that when I am looking to buy jewelry for my wife, I should always go with my gut instinct. I have known her long enough to know what she likes and she wears that white gold cross necklace daily, so I'm pretty sure I did a good job.
